The concept of creating an IAPA-Delhi Chapter blossomed in February 2020 when a few anaesthesiologists from government and private institutions in the Delhi NCR, who practice paediatric anaesthesia, got together and made it a reality on 24 Feb 2020. The executive committee was formed by a unanimous vote. The office bearers were also voted, effective for a period not more than 3 years.
It is inaugurated on 15th Aug 2020 at 1700 hours along with the first academic session through online Webinar under the aegis of IAPA . It is presided over by the National executive The announcement of the Delhi branch and the introduction of the office bearers were done at the beginning of this webinar.
This was followed by two talks:
- Pediatric Anesthesia during COVID 19: reset and restart by Dr (Col) Rakhee Goyal
- Anesthesia for neonates: myths and facts by Dr Ranju Singh
Around 150 participants attended the webinar. The talks were followed by a question-answer session.
The moderator, DR (Maj Gen) Navdeep Sethi, and the speakers thanked the audience and the IAPA-national President, Vice President and Secretary for their guidance and support.
